Found this little 1950 pamphlet in a box of donations today. 

"Nebraska school officials criticized their high schools for teaching too many impractical subjects; not enough agriculture and homemaking. Sample: One school offered typing year after year - though its graduates rarely used it. The teacher said its only value was to keep student's finders in shape for milking cows."
