Iowa Teacher Librarians really brought their game to IASL 2012. We celebrated, we shared, we taught each other and we learned from each other. I love the @ for the way it represents our connections - face to face and digital. It was so much fun capturing images of these dynamic, energized professionals!

I am particularly proud of Christine Sturgeon, who I met at IASL last year. She was desperate for reading glasses and guess what? I had extras! This year, she pushed herself as a first year TL and volunteered to present on - guess what? - being a first year librarian!

IASL pres Becky Johnson rocked the luncheon intros by doing a shoutout for advocacy and sharing. Everybody say Hey, It's a super duper library dance party!

And of course, my mentor, Shannon McClintock Miller, inspired us all with her limitless energy, creativity and total dedication to preparing her students for the 21st century.

What a fantastic couple of days. Thank you to everyone who helped make it possible!
