Hi This is Mrs Kaldenberg, your Media Specialist and Librarian and an I am honored to be able to say a few words to you during the last week of the Month of the Young Adolescent.

I want you to know what a privilege it has been for me to know most of you since you started school at Solon. Because I work at all three buildings, I have actually watched you grow up, from the time when you could barely see over the circulation desk to check out books at Lakeview to today when I see you in the hallways , classrooms and in the library and am amazed by the smart, funny, thoughtful and creative young people you have blossomed into.

Today you might be wearing purple for anti-bullying day. It would  be a good day to go check out WONDER by R.J. Palacio. This book reminds us that we always have the ability to CHOOSE KIND.

Be kind today. Just one act of kindness can make a difference.

(Read on the intercom at 8:15 a.m.)
