Bird (flute)

What an amazing window display by Toni Russo at the Solon Public Library for "Peter and the Wolf". Two of our middle school staff members were "instrumental" in making it so spectacular. Both Mr Compton, band director and Mrs Butterfield, media center associate, lent musical instruments to represent the characters in the orchestral piece.

Please take a friend or family member by the library before the holidays to experience this gorgeous work that combines art, music and literature. (A little Prokofiev on the iPod and a set of earbuds would be make for an absolutely transporting aesthetic adventure!)

Grandfather (bassoon)

Cat (clarinet)

Duck (oboe)

Wolf (french horn)

Peter (violin)

Drums (hunters)
